Buddy is a fabulous little man who is going to make a lucky person or family extremely happy. I've absolutely nothing negative to say about him. He's exceptionally well behaved. We do not know his history but he seems to have been house trained. He hasn't had any accidents and definitely knows potty happens outside.
His favorite place is anywhere you are. I wouldn't call him a velcro dog but he definitely wants to be in the same room you're in, sharing the couch or lying on the floor next to your favorite chair. He sleeps on the floor in a dog bed right next to our bed but I'm sure he would also love sharing your bed if you'd be so inclined. He sleeps all night and is very quiet. Okay.... Sometimes he snores a little. Nobody is perfect.
He is good with dogs but doesn't need to live with one. He gets small playful spurts that are short lived with my dog but then it's back to the couch potato life for Buddy. He's all about the human affection, much more so than the canine variety. He loves people so much and his tail is always wagging when I'm talking to him, such a happy little dude!
We haven't cat tested him but he has such a gentle demeanor and is mostly aloof with dogs so I would imagine he'd be just fine with them.
There is one more thing that's very special about Buddy. He has three legs. This does not slow him down at all. Dogs live very happy, full, and normal lives with three legs. They are very adaptable animals. He goes up and down stairs just fine and is able to jump on and off the couch no problem usually... unless he's just being lazy. And when he wants to run, you should see him go! He's my first foster with three legs and I usually forget he isn't "normal" because he's so well adapted, he's probably lived this way the majority of his life.
He would fit perfectly in almost any living situation. If you live in an apartment or a townhouse he would be a perfect fit, as he is super quiet and doesn't require a ton of exercise. I also think he could make an excellent therapy dog and be an inspiration to many people.
Buddy is waiting for someone to love him forever. Could that be you? He can't wait to meet you! Seriously...try to resist that face.
All dogs are in individual foster homes throughout the Twin Cities.
