**Secondhand Hounds strongly discourages declawing cats. For more information on why SHH does not support this practice, please visit the following: http://www.humanesociety.org/animals/cats/tips/declawing.html http://www.peta.org/living/companion-animals/8-reasons-never-declaw-cats/
From the Foster: Baby loves to play, especially at night, and she can often be found darting around my apartment entertaining herself. Baby currently lives with a submissive dog and they get along fine. Baby is desperate to be best friends with my dog and I know she would love another cat or playful children in the home to be friends with. Baby has no problems using her litterbox. She has her front claws but I've rarely seen her scratch anything she shouldn’t. She frequently uses the scratching post I have for her and also loves to with play with it. Baby is very vocal, it’s almost like she’s answering you when you talk to her. She is very affectionate and can often be found snuggling in my lap, under my blanket, or on top of me while I sleep. She loves to perch in the window and when I take my dog out, I can see her watching me from the window. She is very considerate with her claws and she has never scratched me. She lets me hold her like a baby and is very tolerant of being picked up. Baby loves everyone and acclimated to my home in no time. She is a sweet, friendly, and loving cat and anyone who adopts her will be lucky to add her to their home. All cats are in individual foster homes throughout the Twin Cities. If you live in MN, WI, IA, SD, ND, or IL and would like to meet/adopt this animal or anyone else, then please fill out an adoption application at http://secondhandhounds.org/adoption-information/ and the foster(s) will be in touch! Keep in mind that there may be multiple applicants applying for the same animal(s). You only need to complete 1 application for multiple animals that you're interested in. Note - We change an animal's listing to say "PENDING ADOPTION" when they already had a meet and greet with a family who plans to adopt that animal. We put "NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS" on a listing when an animal has multiple applications in and the foster has asked to stop accepting any more while they review the applications they've already received.
