From the Foster:

Hi! I am a 9 month old PUPPY. I have tons of energy. I love my 5 month old foster kitten, we play for hours on end! I also have a 2 year old foster doggie that's less than 10 pounds. I am not too fond of her and I steal her toys and bully her. I love people and have been around children (ages 5 - 8). I'm stronger than I know but haven't pushed anyone down yet!

I am an awesome learner! I was house trained in 4 days and now know english! Sit, stay, no, down, come, off, and "leave it" are commands I excel at. I also know "kennel up" means I have to go in my kennel though I try to run away from mommy when she says it! Mom makes me sit and stay before each meal, it was so hard at first, but now I'm a pro! I heel on my leash now too. When I have to go out I will bark and I bark to come back in. One of my favorite pastimes is cuddling with my foster mom. Human touch rocks! I LOVE to chew so if you have bones for me I'll be content for quite a while. I would like a playmate that weighs at least 22 pounds, the smaller ones are just too small.

Foster mom says I can resource guard my food with other dogs. I have growled at the little resident dog and have also pushed her aside to eat her food!

Foster mom is my alpha and if you would like to adopt me you have to be my alpha too. Mom says I need to go to dog classes and that when I do I will bring home the blue ribbon!

All dogs are in individual foster homes throughout the Twin Cities.

I f you would like to meet/adopt this animal or anyone else, then please fill out an adoption application at http://secondhandhounds.org/adoption-information/ and the foster(s) will be in touch!  Keep in mind that there may be multiple applicants applying for the same animal(s).  You only need to complete 1 application for multiple animals that you're interested in.

Note  - We change an animal's listing to say "PENDING ADOPTION" when they already had a meet and greet with a family who plans to adopt that animal.  We put "NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS" on a listing when an animal has multiple applications in and the foster has asked to stop accepting any more while they review the applications they've already received.

If you would like to be a foster for Secondhand Hounds, then please fill out a foster application,  http://secondhandhounds.org/fostervolunteer-information/fostering-101/  You can choose the type of animal you'd like to foster and we will supply everything you need (food, collar, bowls, crate, etc.) while the animal is in your care.

Thanks for your interest in Secondhand Hounds!
