From the Foster: Dali is likely the cutest, sweetest, most affectionate dog in the world!  She lives for cuddles and attention and is happiest when in your lap (in fact, she is in my lap as I write this!).  She has a beautiful, silky red coat with darker markings and a long tail that is usually sweeping the floor because she is so happy.  She loves to smother people with kisses and to be picked up - she will push off the ground when you scoop her up to help!  She has the most soulful, expressive eyes that she definitely uses to her advantage to get what she wants!

Dali lives with three doggie foster brothers and she gets along well with them after proper introductions.  She likes to snuggle with them and is beginning to show interest in playing with the rowdy pups.  Dali LOVES to play outside in the snow - she will race around as fast as she can with her ears flapping in the wind.  She is definitely a character!  Dali loves treats and is learning to sit and lay down on command.  She could use a little obedience training - she is so affectionate that she can sometimes be pushy for attention (jumping up, nudging hands, trying to lick your face, etc.).  After she gets her playtime in outside, she is more than happy to snuggle up and snooze most of the day away.  When she's not dashing through the snow or burrowing under blankets, she can usually be found in the kitchen, helping clean up by scavenging for spare crumbs.

Dali sleeps in a crate overnight, but would be absolutely thrilled to sleep in the bed.  After she eats breakfast, I do let her in the bed to snuggle and she either curls up right next to me or burrows deep under the covers and sleeps in.  She will whine when crated when we leave the house, but with a peanut butter kong or rawhide, she is usually quiet (she may not be a great fit for a home with shared walls in case she is noisy when left home alone).  Dali attached very quickly to her foster people and showed some shyness when meeting new people at the house - she did warm up with some time and treats and was asking for pets in not too long.  I would suggest a home without young children, because I think it may not help her shyness to be around quick movements and loud noises.  Around us, though, she is very confident and I think she will improve the longer she is in a home and has more positive interactions with new people.

House training is going really well with her and she has made great progress in a short amount of time.  She will need more training and a watchful eye for her to continue progress, but she has been accident free the past few days when let out frequently.  Even in the frigid cold, she is great about going potty outside.  She is smart and very willing to please, so she should be up to 100% in no time.  Dali is very good about not chewing what she shouldn't - but she loves Nylabones and elk antlers!

Dali is such a great little pup - if you are looking for a playful, affectionate sidekick, she may be the one!
