From the Foster:

Dizzy and Callie are adorable.  They are like having one dog!  They are so happy, they wiggle all around.   They are a little timid but curious too.  So they end up trying new things and finding they like it.   At first they had scared little faces but let me pet them anyway.   The girls are about 3 years old and grew up in a shelter, so everything is new.   They are learning so quickly and are becoming wigglier every day.

When I sit on the couch they come right over for cuddles and scratches.  If Dizzy comes over for attention, Callie is right behind her.  Dizzy is almost a lap dog, she cuddles for a time and then both girls move over to the dog bed.  They like to cuddle each other.  And groom each other like cats!

These two sisters are very similar except for the color.  Dizzy is tan with raccoon eyes.  Callie is red with raccoon  eyes.

Completely potty trained – no accidents
Kennel trained (they want to be in the kennel together- get them a big one)
They can now sit for a treat.
They like to ride in the car, but Dizzy is a little scare of jumping in by herself.
They like to play with other dogs (they have fun in play groups)
They are smart and will be quick learners.

Take a chance on these two as these two are easier than just one!

All dogs are in individual foster homes throughout the Twin Cities.

If you would like to meet/adopt this animal or anyone else, then please fill out an adoption application at  http://secondhandhounds.org/adoption-information/  and the foster(s) will be in touch!  Keep in mind that there may be multiple applicants applying for the same animal(s).  You only need to complete 1 application for multiple animals that you're interested in.

Note  - We change an animal's listing to say "PENDING ADOPTION" when they already had a meet and greet with a family who plans to adopt that animal.  We put "NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS" on a listing when an animal has multiple applications in and the foster has asked to stop accepting any more while they review the applications they've already received.

If you would like to be a foster for Secondhand Hounds, then please fill out a foster application,  http://secondhandhounds.org/fostervolunteer-information/fostering-101/  You can choose the type of animal you'd like to foster and we will supply everything you need (food, collar, bowls, crate, etc.) while the animal is in your care.

Thanks for your interest in Secondhand Hounds!
