From the Foster:   I can’t wait to meet you and I am sure you can’t wait to meet me!!  I am Dakota and I look just like my mama who is really beautiful.  I am currently living with all six of my siblings, my mom Ivy, more about her later, and my two foster brothers and two sisters.  I love all of them and I love people.  By the time you read this I will be with my new foster in Minnesota and will be looking for my new family, one I can call my own forever!!  I may be the smallest of the family, but I seem to be the first to do everything.  I was the first to go up and down stairs, the first to use the potty pad, the first to eat solid food, the first to just in the pool, and the first to bark, maybe I shouldn’t admit that but I was really proud of myself.  I am a very patient girl.  I will wait my turn to play with a toy and if my brothers and sisters are playing with foster dad I will sit patiently and wait for them to be done or be invited over.  Once I am playing with him though I give lots and lots of kisses and I love to cuddle.  I love to run and jump, I think I would be a very good agility or disc dog.  You should see me run and jump, yes please come see me.  I hope I can be a loving member of your family.  I will love you forever, I promiseJ

A little about my mom Ivy.  She was rescued from a high kill shelter in Georgia by the wonderful people at Secondhand Hounds.  She went to her fosters house in Omaha where I was born and lived until I was 8 weeks old.  She has heartworms so she needs to go through some scary stuff but she is strong and tough so I know she will be ok and then she will be ready to be adopted as well.

All dogs are in individual foster homes throughout the Twin Cities.
