Dallas D130498 needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
Dallas just arrived at my home and I’ll provide an update as time progresses. Coming from a small, outside environment, Dallas is adjusting to his new world as a house dog. He is a mellow, low energy dog (especially for a retriever) so napping in the house is one adjustment he is handling well! He is a bit unsure of himself but is doing very well—no accidents in the house, and no desire to jump on furniture or people, to rummage through the trash cans, to chew on shoes or to bark at strange noises. He is aware of where I am in the house and will follow me to the next room and lay down to simply get a better view or some affection. He walks well with a simple choker. My focus is to get him slowly adjusted and relaxed in this new world, to learn some simply commands, and to play. Because he is a low energy dog, I see him doing really well in a quiet environment where he is a single dog or with another dog of low energy level—excellent match for a first time dog owner or perhaps a retiree that loves labs but seeking a low energy version!
All dogs are in individual foster homes throughout the Twin Cities. More about Dallas D130498Good with Dogs, Good with Kids, Good with Adults, Does not require a yard Other Pictures of Dallas D130498 (click to see larger version):
