From the Foster:

Hailing from Kentucky, Beau is truly a Southern Gentleman! His favorite pastimes include digging into a pile of blankets for naps, cuddling up close, and exploring. He has a great temperament and is extremely gentle and friendly.

Although Beau can see and hear, he is a little hard of both. He also currently does not like being put in his crate or left alone (pugs are known to be obsessed with their owners).

From the vet team:
Hello! Throughout my veterinary care at Secondhand Hounds, there were multiple health issues discovered. I have a low-grade heart murmur but fortunately, there were no changes to my heart's shape or size. X-rays show evidence of chronic disc disease (IVDD) in my spine. It does not appear that this is causing me pain at this time but long-term pain management and mobility monitoring is recommended. My left eye has cataracts and my right eye required enucleation (removal) surgery. Also, it appears that I cannot hear due to age-related changes. I have an upcoming dental procedure where I will receive full mouth extractions due to my dental disease. Lastly, I have a benign (non-cancerous) fatty tumor and a small skin mass that will need to be monitored for changes in shape or size. My future adopter will need to monitor my health conditions with a primary veterinarian!
