From the Foster:

Bahama Mama is a lovely lady who’s ready to find her forever family! Although, we’ve been calling her “Flora”. It’s sweet and dignified and she seems to like it too!

Flora has been great with dogs and people, and her foster before she came to MN noted that she was good with kids, cats, birds, and even horses! Talk about a renaissance lady.  She has been 100% respectful of our resident “old man” as well as playful and engaged with our younger, playful pup in her foster home. Flora looooves human attention and will often come over to lean her big head against you for pats.

During the workday Flora stays in a kennel and does well in there – she sleeps through the day without issue. When everyone is home she does great out and about with the family. In fact, we are starting to see her want to snuggle on the couch and in the human bed – good thing she’s so soft! Currently she sleeps in our home office (free-roam) at night, but I think she’d do great in the bedroom as well – either on the floor, or if you need a life-size body pillow, Flora could be the perfect option!

She doesn’t know any tricks yet, but with her docile personality, she should be very agreeable when it comes to training/learning. Flora lets us brush her, clean her ears, and touch all over her body without a fuss. She has never pulled on the leash, and while she’s still figuring out the idea of a “walk”, she is happiest walking or sniffing right next to you.

Flora is ready to give her heart to someone who will treasure it, and treasure her! Her new family will not be disappointed – this incredible girl is one-in-a-million!
