From the Foster:

Checka is a very sweet older lady, gets along well with other dogs and her goofy personality is really starting to come out. When she first came home she figured out really quickly that the kennel is her safe space and still will go hang out in there on her own. We are working on potty training, she has had a few accidents but keeping her on a schedule is helping.

Checka is definitely not high energy but she does love her walks. She also loves to hang out outside by herself. This girl is so sweet she is sure to steal your heart when you meet her.

Hello! I'm pending some medical care but still available for adoption. I have an enlarged femur and will need an orthopedic surgery called an "FHO" (femoral head /neck osteotomy) completed by a specialist at the SHH Vet Center. The recovery period requires strict rest and restricted activity for 8 weeks so I'm going to need an adopter aware of this who is able to help me through my rest period so I can get settled in my forever home sooner! I will be adopted with an PMA (pending medical adoption) contract so my adoption can take place, while SHH still manages the financial responsibility of my orthopedic surgery. Any other medical care needed outside of this surgery, recovery and my dental procedure covered by the PMA contract would be the responsibility of my new family.
