From the Foster:
Hi from Callie's foster! I've been fostering Callie for just over a month and have to say she is one of my favorite fosters ever. She is a purr machine and loves to be loved. She will always meet you at the door and especially loves to be scratched behind the ears. Any visitor I've had falls in love with her because she just loves to be loved. Like most cats, however, when she is done she is done and will send a signal to you with a nip. This happened more often when I first had her but now I know what she likes and it hasn't happened to me in weeks. She doesn't really like pets on her back legs or when you are too unpredictable or wild with her hands. My niece and nephew who are 7 and 10 do great with her because they have been around a lot of animals but she would do better in a home with kids over 8. She also likes to play, especially with crinkly toys but right now we are trying to limit her play as her back legs heal. She doesn't seem in too much pain but does still have a bit of a limp and needs to not be dropped or encouraged to jump on and off things. She does like to come to sit by you for pets but is good about not jumping on counters/tables or getting into things she shouldn't. She has had a few vet appointments and does great in the car but doesn't like the vet very much. She also meows when she is bored and I know she doesn't like that I'm gone at work all day and would prefer someone who is home more. Lastly, I haven't been able to see how she does with other adult dogs or cats. However, she has been amazing with my neonatal puppy fosters and just completely ignores them!

From the vet team:  Hello! Throughout my veterinary care at Secondhand Hounds, I had a dental procedure. During this procedure, it was noted that I have early root resorption on one of my teeth. It is recommended that my future veterinarian do annual dental with x-rays to monitor this at my adopter's expense. I am currently on a medical management plan and an activity restriction for a limp. My foster says I am improving but our vet team will still continue to monitor this to see if further medical care is necessary.
