From the Foster:

Nala is a sweet little fluff nugget!  After a rough first couple of days she is settling in nicely.  Potty training is going well, but she definitely needs to keep to a schedule.  She hasn't quite worked out how to let me know that she needs to go out.  Crate training will need more work as well.  She will sleep through the night in the kennel when it is by my bed.  If you put her in the kennel and leave her alone she will bark and whine.  I think there is some separation anxiety that would need to be addressed.  She has a spunky personality and likes to pounce through the snow.  She has a strong voice and is not afraid to use it!  My 6 month old puppy loves her, almost too much!  But Nala isn't afraid to let her know when enough is enough.  She has snapped at my dog a couple of times near her bag of food and bowl, so there does seem to be some resource guarding. It doesn't seem to apply to toys though, just food.  Feeding the dogs separately eliminates this.  She is very curious about everything and of course wants to eat everything she sees!  She loves playing with her toys and chewing on any and every thing!  We've only gone a few short walks but she does pretty well on the leash.  Overall, Nala seems like she would be a great companion who would follow you anywhere and wants to be by your side.

Shared walls may not be ideal as she goes through crate training.  For such a little thing, she has a very strong and loud voice.  Long periods of time home alone may not be best right now either, as she is still quite young and does not like to be left alone.
