From the Foster:
Daisy is a sweetheart who has found herself in rescue through no fault of her own. She rides beautifully in car, sleeps on your bed near your legs like a pro and is house trained. It seems Daisy has never been crated in her 7 years on this planet, she does fine left out and doesn’t destroy things. Daisy is her foster mom’s shadow but is kind and sweet to everyone in her family.
Daisy has a defensive nature when it comes to dogs, she was not friendly to our 35 pound resident dog, it took a couple days for them to be friends. Daisy’s former owners state she cannot be with small dogs, I personally feel she ought to be the only in the house.
Daisy barks. She barks at dogs and sometimes people when we are out walking. She barks and attempts to run at dogs if she sees them go past and barks if she hears them bark, like she’s adding her two cents. As her foster mom, I can say she has gotten decent about stopping when I look at her and speak to her. We have only had Daisy 4 days, she’s improving but her former home states she is a bit of a serial barker. She certainly doesn’t bark just to bark and will calm down some if redirected, still, NO shared walls for Daisy. Daisy should go to a home where someone is home most of the time on a permanent basis not Covid related as she would not do well left alone for long periods.
Daisy is a gem, no potty accidents and lets out a cute little yip at the front door if she needs to go out. Pretty darn good after only 4 days, our resident dog doesn’t even tell us when she needs a comfort break, we just have to guess.
We are happy to answer any specific questions about this little peach.
No shared walls, educated in leash aggression, no very young kids 8 and up
