From the Foster:

Avery is a sweet, smart, 4 month old, female terrier mix with soft and non-greasy coat from Kentucky. Her fur looks like lab (without the greasy feel) and her height (right now) is a little shorter than our resident mini-dachshund mixes (about half my calf, I am 5’5”.

She loves to play with our three residents; however, two of them are “old ladies” so they don’t play much. She is taking the hint and learning “puppy manners” well. She loves zooming around the yard with our resident 2 yr old puppy. This being said she would do well alone or with other dogs. She does bark when left alone so no shared walls.

She sleeps at night in the kennel and is ok with it as long as she knows someone is there. Potty training is in progress (she gives great cues - sniffing and circling and will go to door). She did ok last night with the thunderstorms and it didn’t seem to bother her. We don’t know about much about walking yet.

Avery loves to snuggle and be held. She is excitedly waiting for the right family.
