Name: Badger
From the Foster: He’s quickly learning all the positives of life in a home, like tummy scratches, chin scratches, soft couches, beds and pillows to lay on, cheese treats and meat that drops on the floor, and looking out windows! He has multi colored eyes and 6 toes on his hind legs! He hasn’t forgotten his past though and likes to sit outside for hours in the sun or hiding under a window or bush in the dirt. He gets really excited to go outside and sit! He also loves being combed! He isn’t too sure about leashes but does fine in a fenced yard. He hasn’t shown interest in treats, but loves hearing good boy. He’s starting to recognize his name, the word c’mon, and good boy! He’s pretty smart and good about picking around his medicine, so I would suggest watching and making sure he didn’t drop it. Hello! I'm pending some medical care but still available for adoption. I have a grade 4/4 luxating patella and will need an orthopedic surgery completed by a specialist at the SHH Vet Center. The recovery requires strict rest and restricted activity for 12 weeks so I'm looking for an adopter up for the challenge of helping me through this so I can get settled in my forever home sooner. I will be adopted with an FTA (foster to adopt) contract so my adoption can take place, while SHH still manages the financial responsibility of my orthopedic surgery. Any other medical care needed outside of this surgery and recovery covered by the FTA contract would be the responsibility of my new family.
