From the Foster:

This is Paisley; the sweetest, happiest, most loving girl you’ll meet. She’s a gorgeous shepherd mix, who loves chasing squirrels, going on walks, and doing anything near her people.

Paisley went through two knee surgeries (her knees dislocated and the surgeries fixed that) but she is now fully recovered and ready to find a new home! She will be on super easy joint supplements for the rest of her life, but the surgeries fixed her knees and she has no restrictions.

We haven’t had her around small children much, but from what we’ve seen she changes from her normal boisterous self to a much more cautious dog. She is still pretty tall and doesn’t know her size, but with supervision we think she’d do great with children.

Her energy level varies from high to low, in the day time she loves being outside and watching and chasing the birds. She loves going on walks and would make a fantastic running partner. With her energy level, she does best with at least one walk a day, or some kind of exercise to burn off any energy.

Paisley does great with our two dogs. One is a nine year old golden retriever, who Paisley has learned won’t play with her and she will leave her be. Our other dog is a 5 month old puppy, and they play together very well.

However, she does need slow introductions with dogs. She is not dog aggressive, but her first reaction towards a new dog is defensive. After she learns they aren’t a threat (Usually takes less than 30 minutes) she just wants to play.   That same behavior is seen on walks with certain dogs we pass. I strongly believe this behavior is trainable, especially because she does so well with our dogs.

She is incredibly smart and eager to please, and would excel in obedience or maybe even agility. We would love for her to do an obedience class to help her be the best dog we know she can be.

Paisley is an amazing girl who loves people and just wants to be a family dog. Her tail is always wagging and she just wants to be around her people. She loves to cuddle in the evenings and is so so sweet. We are absolutely in love with Paisley and she is so ready to fall in love with her new forever home.
