JJ is a 100-pound lap dog who thinks every single person in the world is his new best friend. He’s insanely affectionate with the sweetest disposition and is looking for a family that’s ready to welcome a big goofy sweetheart into their life.  

JJ is house trained and especially loves it when his people go outside with him to do his thing. He’s also great in the crate. He will do anything for a treat, so getting him in is never too difficult. He whined for a few minutes on the first night in our house but since then, he rarely makes a peep in there. (That being said, he loves bed cuddles so he wouldn’t be opposed to sleeping with his humans if they have some space to share! He promises to fold himself into the tiniest ball possible.)

With all the sweetness, JJ also has a little touch of scamp. His head is about the same height as a kitchen counter which is pretty exciting for him. He’s the first dog we’ve ever caught with his head in our kitchen sink! He responds really well to corrections and learns very quickly—he’s just a sucker for a little snack. His zest for life and passion for all things culinary guarantee that life with JJ will be hilariously entertaining.

Besides scoping out the snacks, some of his favorite things to do are figure out the closest he can possibly sit to his humans and falling asleep with his big ol’ head on a lap. At heart, he’s just a Very Good Boy.

JJ would be an awesome addition to a lot of different homes. He’s pretty quiet and laid back. He does get excited about food, play, and toys, which might cause him to knock really little kids over. If you’re looking for a big hunk of snugglebug in your life, JJ would be an awesome choice. He knows how to win hearts and he’s ready to melt yours!
