From the Foster:
Hi, my name is Sabine.
I’m 4 years old, going on five. I’m easy going and lovable but I’m a little shy meeting new people, but if they give me a treat it goes so much easier, or if they have a dog. I really love other dogs, they don’t always love me, but that’s life.
My favorite things to do is going on walks (I need exercise, snow, rain or shine), laying on the couch (so if you don’t like a dog on you furniture, I might not be your dog), tug-of-war (I only play with my own toys, never gotten into trouble), play with my dog friends from the neighborhood (it can get a little rowdy), chase things (that includes rabbits, squirrels and other critters that run) and I like to sleep (on the couch or on my foster parents’ bed).
What I do not like is car rides (we are working on that one, I am quiet but I have anxiety), cats (that might not be with every cat but my foster parents really need to hold on to the leash when I see one, they just irritate me).
About those walks, I am ready when you are. If you like to sleep in, I’ll do that, or if you like to get up really early, I’ll do that too. I just like to be with my humans and be outside.
I need a fenced in yard because I like to play and run outside, sprinting especially, you should see me chasing a stick or a ball. I’m not sure about long distance running though, but you throw something… I’m on it!
I love kids. My foster parents did not think so at first because I acted a little nervous around them but I do really like the respectful once. If they run up to me and wants to pet me without asking…I don’t like that, I want to leave then. I still want them to respect me, I have feelings too.
I love treats and working on learning new tricks and since I’m very treat motivated, I love when my foster parents gets the clicker out, that means practice time, and many treats.
I tolerate the crate but since I’m a well-behaved girl, I don’t need it, even if I’m alone in the house. My foster parents have never used one and they have a lot of things out.
My foster parents say that if you want a well-behaved girl that will steal your heart you should adopt me. I will love you with all my heart,
Sabine does love her treats. We love Sabine very much and she has stolen a piece of our hearts. She is looking for a forever home so she can steal your heart too, and that will not take long.
