Hello there! My name is Alaska and I am a lab/pyrenees mix. I am a big girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart! I would thrive in either a single house dog or with other dogs, I get along with the resident dog in my foster home but it took me a day to feel comfortable with him. I haven't quite learned that it is okay to share the toys with him yet, but he is trying to take me under his wing to teach me the ropes. We also eat separately and that is how I like it.

The first night at my fosters I slept in a kennel and did pretty good! I was quite and didn't whine at all. I slept out of the kennel for the first time and did really good. I won't get on the bed or the couch yet (I might one day) so I sleep nicely on the floor. I like to find the smallest spot to snuggle up in! So get ready for my corky personality to come out.

I also entertain myself and can actually play catch alone its amazing! Just wait till you see me! I do play with my foster brother, but when I am done I don't want him to bother me. And most of all.. I absolutely LOVE to be outside! 

I have been on a few walks now and I am really good on a leash! I don't pull much at all. I have also had my ears cleaned and nails trimmed and did really good for that! I am afraid of thunderstorms so I would love a loving home where I can have a safe place where the noise can be drawn out. 

I have been pretty low maintenance so far! I am a real goof and you will fall in love with my personality instantly. My foster family says that I am a sweet girl and a good girl which makes me smile! I am looking for my forever home and just really want to be loved. Maybe one day I will even cuddle with you on the couch, but I have to learn how to get onto it first.  I would do great in any family that wants a super calm, relaxed, and loving dog!
