From the Foster:

Rae (aka Rachel) is a 75 lb Catahoula Leopard dog.  She is a loving and sweet, smart, gentle girl who listens so well!  She is very timid, afraid of most people, but will bond with you once she trusts and will be your love forever and your shadow that makes you smile.  She is not a fan of fast movements noises and the unknown, including the furnace, or other miscellaneous noises.  She will learn to trust her person and stick to that person, so you need to be willing to have that total connection.  Once she feels secure you will the wonderful dog that she is who will add great love to your world.

Rae is house trained, and kennel trained but, she is not a fan of the kennel and is on a low dose of anxiety med to help her relax once in.  She does need coaxing in or brought in on her leash.  That said I would suggest her forever home have her human as someone who is around her most of the day with very limited time needed in the kennel.  She would not be good left out as her anxiety/fear causes her to be destructive when left alone.  Rae also has some anxiety when her humans leave so again, her perfect forever home would include her human being retired, someone who worked from home or gone very limited, and willing to have an awesome dog who wants to bond.  Rae does great with dogs of all sizes at the dog park, she just wants to chase or have them chase her, but really won’t go by the humans.  Having a nice mellow dog friend in the home may be a great help to her feeling more confident (if her size, smaller dogs tend to intimidate her, go figure).  Rae is very well behaved, not mouthy and does not bark (unless she feels threatened or is protecting her human, then will give a ‘wolf’), walks well on the leash and listens to commands very well.  She has some toys, but, doesn’t really ‘play’ much.  She will go get a toy if thrown but won’t bring it back.  She seems to have two groups of toys, she will either rip them apart (doesn’t eat the stuffing) or will just carefully carry them around, lick them, and it seems to me like she is taking care of them.  She has had multiple litters in her past.  She does great in the car and likes to go on rides, pretty much fits very conveniently in the human world, if your world can put her as priority with you as her lucky best friend.  If you are looking for a total sweetheart that just wants to be near you this sweet baby Rae is the perfect girl for you!  I can tell you anything else you’d like to know, down to her littlest habit, but figure you get the picture.  Aside from her physical beauty, she is a wonderful dog who just needs her human, her best friend, you!
