Claire is a sweet little wisp of a dog. She came to us terrified of all people, but she has been working so hard to overcome her fears and has made great strides! She clearly wants to be part of the family, but whatever her history is she's unsure of what people are up to. I think she would be happiest in a home with either no children or older children, just because of the noise and unpredictability. She is not at all aggressive towards adults or children. Claire is crate trained, though she doesn't need to be crated as she's very well behaved. She spends most of the day sleeping in a small den-like area. She is pretty attached to her people and will bark a bit when she's left alone, so she would probably do best in a home with no shared walls. While she doesn't play with other dogs, she seems to be comforted by the presence of other dogs and so it would be nice if she could have at least one other dog in her new home. Claire is housebroken as long as she has a predictable schedule. She loves to run around in our fenced yard and prefers that to being on a walk with a leash, but she also loves walks so she can explore. Rescuing a dog like Claire and helping her see that people are good will be extremely rewarding for the lucky person who adopts her! All dogs are in individual foster homes throughout the Twin Cities.
