Name: Samuel Samuel, (likes Sammy too!) is very loving. He likes to jump on your lap and give you snuggles. He also likes to sleep in my bed. He curls up next to my legs for the night. He is such a happy loving little guy. He likes to chase, wrestle, and play fetch the ball. He likes to ride in the car and go places. He will go hang out in his kennel on his own. He is happy to go in the kennel to eat or while I am gone.
Samuel was returned for barking and lunging at strangers. When I went to pick him up from SHH, they said he was afraid in his kennel and afraid of people. I had a dog with me. As soon as he saw my dog, he wagged his tail and came right out of the kennel. He loves other dogs. I personally think my happy dog made all the difference in his fear. Once he sees my dog happy to meet people and get attention he warms up very fast.
I have had several children and adults at my house this week. He is afraid & barky when they try to pet, but if they ignore him, he warms up very quickly. Within 5 minutes he is on their lap getting cuddles. If you can get past his fear of new people, he is a great dog.
