From the Foster:
Hope is a very loving girl. She follows people around and stands next to them, but doesn't get in their way. She is a typical pit bull couch potato and likes nothing better than to snuggle with you. Right now she sleeps with our daughter in her bed, but she also sleeps well in the crate when we are away from home. She is crate and house-trained well when she's let out on a regular schedule. She doesn't bark or whine in the crate, however, she's not crated much during the work day as we have people home most of the day. She walks very well on a leash and doesn't pull. She does not like little dogs but seems to tolerate larger dogs better. We have one dog in the home and she's respectful since he's the alpha. She is very good with cats and leaves them alone. Our cats are comfortable with her and will sleep on our laps when we're on the couch with Hope. If you regularly let her out to go potty she's fine. She is crated when we leave the house. The previous foster said she gets into things if not crated. Hope handles large family gatherings with people of all ages very well. She doesn't jump up and doesn't lick people. She does have Skin Alllergies year-round and takes medication by pill twice per day. This is easy to give her when put in her dry food. She also needs to have grain-free food to help with allergies. She also has Chronic Dry Eye which requires application of ointment twice per day. Overall, she's an easygoing dog and good companion for those who are comfortable taking care of her medical needs. Her sweet, loving personality is easy to be around as she is low key.
