From the Foster:

He is working on house training, and he is doing well! He is VERY treat/food motivated and always urinates outside with encouragement and, especially, a little treat to coax him to stay outside a little longer. He really likes going for walks, right now they are short, as he is getting back into shape after his heartworm treatment, but he shows promise that he will be able to do longer walks with practice. He does need to be watched when we come back inside. He gets excited to be back in the house, and sometimes marks only a few minutes after coming back in. I have started to curb this behavior by teaching him to ‘sit nice’ while I take off his leash, and then I give him a treat for his good behavior. This seems to calm down his zoomies.

He has started to become less possessive of his favorite toy (the pink bone) and he give is to us to play fetch with him. He is extremely smart, loves being the center of attention, and SO willing to please, that I think he could be trained to do a whole bunch of tasks/tricks.

I’d recommend that he go to a house with respectful children. He does not like to be held down - or given the feeling of being trapped - and he barks and may lash out to get free. If you are respectful of him and let him come to you, you can hug him all you want. But it must be his choice to be held.

His energy level is moderate he gets excited when people come over he runs up and down and up and down the stairs. he's generally a good boy he likes to be  fairly close to you but not to cuddle. he does like to sleep on the bed, he likes to bury himself under the blankets he likes to have his back scratched in the morning and he loves to play tug-of-war with that pink bone

I was recently treated for heartworms, and I am feeling much better now! Please let SHH know if you have any questions!
