From the Foster:

Lucy has an awesome personality and loves to play. Tug-of-war, fetch, and catc h- me - if -you- can are her favori tes; and she love s to run and jump on the trampoline. She is always ready to pounce at the opportunity to play. She has a great sense of humor and makes us laugh daily.

She is house-broken and rare ly has accidents. She has also learned how to sit, lay down, wait, speak, and give 5. She is intelligent and curious. Because of this, she makes a great listener and perks her ears and watches you intently when you speak to her.

She has been around children and does well. Cats are another story… She finds them very interesting and will give chase. We have a hard time redirecting her when she sees a cat and think she would do better in a house without cats. We are working on socializing her with other dogs as our older dog doesn’t get along with her. This has caused some hesitancy in Lucy, but she shows awkward interest in other dogs when she sees them.

Lucy is a very happy dog with lots of energy. She is always very happy to see you and will greet you at the door when you return home. She has learned not t o jump on people, but needs reminding sometimes.

She still pulls when we walk her on a leash, so this will need some more work. If we use a gentle lead while walking her, she does just fine.

She is kennel trained and very rarely whines or barks when she is kenneled. We do leave her loose when we leave the house and she does very well. She is not food aggressive and has learned to wait until her food is in her bowl to begin eating.

She is a “lap” dog or, better stated, she loves to sit on you.. sometimes this is on your lap , sometimes on your stomach. She will settle down and snuggle with you towards the end of the nig ht or during a quieter time during the day. She loves to have her chest and stomach rubbed.

She has brought a lot of joy and happiness to this household and will be a great addition to someone’s home and family. She is up-to-date on her shots, spayed, and chipped.
