Buddy’s dream day would start and end with head scritches and belly rubs, followed by a walk to sniff around a quiet neighborhood, fueled by lots of treats. He’d then take a long car ride on the highway, return home to more head scritches and belly rubs, and enjoy chewing on a bone in his bed before a nap. He's used to having a human companion around for most of the day. He does all right for up to 4-5 hours alone, though if there is food accessible to him, he will find it and eat it. He’s a loyal guy, who will love his people well, and will do his best to protect you from squirrels, postal carriers, dogs on the TV, and package delivery trucks. He’s friendly towards people, and very food motivated. He’s a senior dog who knows what he wants and will communicate it. He’s had to navigate some health challenges, and can be a bit stubborn or crabby about not being able to do what he wants to do.
