From the Foster:   This happy, yet camera shy, five year old australian terrier/yorkie terrier mix, has been recovering for the past year following a sad case of neglect which caused him to lose all the hair on his body. While in foster care we have discovered that he is allergic to FrontLine Plus and many environmental allergens, so we have started allergy shots and baths and he's so much better now. He has come out of his shell and is very protective of his foster family, and is sassy and bouncy now!

He loves snuggles, wrestling with his foster brothers, and chew toys/treats!! When he needs quiet time he retreats to his kennel and toys. His hair has finally come back in nicely and recently did really well at the groomer. He is ready for a forever family but needs an adult individual or a couple that will spend the time and energy he needs to work on his manners and discipline!!

He will only be placed with adults - no kids or grandkids. He has spurts of high energy and is still learning his manners while he relives the puppyhood he missed the first time around, so discipline and consistency is a must in his new home. He quickly bonded with his foster family, so he will be loyal to his new humans with lots of love and patience after his adjustment period. He is currently very attached to his foster mom and dad, and tries to guard us when we have visitors, including potential adopters, so slow, gradual introductions are a must. Are you up for a sweet little buddy who is a diamond in the rough? Look at those eyes! This little man will steal your heart!

All dogs are in individual foster homes throughout the Twin Cities.
