From the Foster: Meet Matt! Don’t let the fact that Matt is a tripod fool you. He can run and jump with the best of them. He can even be found curled up on the top of the kitty condo! Matt is super affectionate and loves to cuddle. He purrs almost nonstop. However, he is learning the appropriate way to show affection back to the humans that take care of him. If he gets overstimulated, or if he doesn’t feel like he’s getting enough attention, he will bite. His foster humans are working on this quirky behavior. He is also getting to know the resident cat, and will hopefully be friends with him soon. There is a resident dog, too, but Matt isn’t sure about him yet. He is definitely curious about the dog but doesn’t want to get too close just yet.

Matt was a little unsure about toys when he first moved in, and would even hiss and run away when the wand toy was brought out. But he is learning from the other cat how to play, and has even tried to catch the fuzzy creature at the end of the wand! Matt definitely loves attention from anyone that will give it to him, but he would do best in a home with an experienced, patient cat parent, and probably older children or no children. After the trauma Matt has been through in his young life, he deserves a chance to become the cat he was meant to be!
