From the Foster:

Beard is the cutest one-eyed kitten you'll set your eyes on. His tiny mew and his soothing purr will melt your heart like butter.

Beard is a shy, but sweet and playful boy. He is finally starting to come out of his shell in his foster home and is just one of the sweetest kitties there is. He is still a bit skittish and tends to run away when people approach him, but he is starting to build up his confidence quickly.

Beard also loves to play- with toys and with his foster buddy, Lasso, or the resident cat. He loves having a buddy to help bring out his confidence and be more comfortable around new people. He does love to play with toys as well, and interacting with humans through play has also helped him gain confidence.

Beard has started to approach people for pets and snuggles on the couch. He will also tolerate being held and snuggled, but it's not his favorite thing.

Beard also loves treats and is very food motivated. He has learned from the resident cat how to yell when he's hungry and to not stop until he gets what he wants. Just one more way to help him find his confidence and come out of his shell.

He hasn't been best friends with the resident dogs in his foster home, but with slow and proper introductions, and a more laid back dog, I think he'd be fine with a dog companion. He's been starting to warm up to his canine companions more and more at least, but he definitely prefers his cat friends.

You will probably notice he's missing one eye, but that doesn't slow him down one bit! He recently had an eye surgically removed while being fostered. But now he has so many fun Halloween costume ideas for a kitty with an eye patch, and you'll think he's so clever because he's always winking at you ;)

If you're considering adopting a pair of young cats, Beard and Lasso would love to continue their friendship together on the next big life adventure (adoption)! But Beard would probably also be okay being adopted on his own. Beard is a prize for anyone willing to be patient and help him continue to come out of his shell. And they'll be rewarded with lots of kitty purs and love!
