Zena is a very energetic, athletic, and loving girl. She is a half black lab and half German Shorthair Pointer mix. She acts much more like a German Shorthair's personality and traits, but looks more like a black lab! 
Zena loves all people that she meets. However, Zena can be quite strong, pushy and excitable, so living with older children would be best.

Zena is a very high energy girl that requires long daily amounts of exercise. She goes on daily runs at my house. She also plays for probably several hours with my other dogs throughout every day. Without enough exercise, Zena can become quite bored and sometimes naughty and a little crazy (a tired dog is a good dog!). However, with enough exercise, she is an absolute sweetheart that will snuggle with you on the couch at the end of the day. 

Zena is still very much a puppy with her manners and self control. She works on this everyday and is getting much better with basic commands and impulse control. She is going to need someone that can handle a big, muscular, athletic girl and that is going to work with her on training and manners.
Zena would benefit greatly from having a four legged doggy friend to live with that is also very playful and energetic. She bonds very strongly with her dog friends.

She can get anxious when her people leave, but does so much better when she has another doggy friend in the room with her. She stays in a crate whenever we are gone. She must have a strong plastic crate because she has gotten out of wire ones. She always gets a yummy chew bone or Kong filled with treats to make it a very positive thing. 

Zena is potty trained is is good about going to the door when she has to go outside. She does fine with kitties, but will definitely try to chase/pounce on them if she is wild and energetic. Zena absolutely LOVES pulling and would greatly excel at sports like skijoring or bikejoring. She currently does this several times a week with my dogs. If you are looking for a very high energy, athletic, and loving girl, then Zena would love to meet you!
