From the Foster:

"Hi, I'm Jasmine. I'm new to the rescue thing after wandering into a campsite in Wisconsin a while ago. I'm currently living with some really nice humans and their other pets (a dog and several cats). I like the dog pretty well but couldn't really be bothered with the cats, they just aren't very interesting.

I really like the humans though, from the giant man to the smaller child, they make me feel safe and happy so I show them I love them by following them around, snuggling on the couch, sleeping under the desk and trying to be on my best behavior. I can't wait to find a forever home that will be as kind and gentle as this family is. "

Jasmine is a really sweet girl that seems to have had a bit of a rough start in life either living wild or as a hunting dog, she's quite thin now but is eating well and should fill out nicely. I've had her a few days now and she does great with my 75 lb Bloodhound, the cats and my kids ranging from 10-18. She knows how to sit, lie down and shake. She does really well on a leash, I clip the leash to the chest ring instead of on her back and she doesn't pull at all. I work from a home office and she's been happily sleeping on a pet bed or under my desk during the work day, you almost don't know she's there.

She's basically housebroken at this point, just the typical couple accidents when she first arrived. She will need to go out regularly until you know her signals or work something out like with my dog who's trained to ring a bell to go out, I'm sure Jasmine would do it as well with a little work. Jasmine is also doing really well with her crate although she is only in it overnight at this point because I do work from home, she goes in with a treat and really doesn't complain about being in there until morning.

She also doesn't seem to bark a lot overall at this point although that might change as she gets really settled in but she barely reacts when my dog starts barking out the front window which I'm taking to be a pretty good sign.

Jasmine really seems to have settled in quickly and will likely adjust just as well with her forever family, she's a great girl and I'd love to have you come meet her if you think she's the right dog for you.

All dogs are in individual foster homes throughout the Twin Cities.
