German Shepherd Dog / Mixed (medium coat) : : Female : : Adult : : Large Learn more about the German Shepherd Dog.
Name: Rosie Rosie has been a phenomenal dog! She has such a great, quirky character that it makes having her around a nonstop joy. She has been great with house training and really hasn't had any accidents to mention. Crates make her slightly anxious and skiddish but if warmed up to them she will hang out in them comfortably. Fenced yards, outdoor kennels, or a dog safe room inside would work best if she needs to be left alone for hours at a time.
She LOVES all other people, dogs, toys, and walks/adventures she has experienced so far. She has been around kids and enjoyed the young company almost more than the kids did! Her favorite toys seem to be stuffed toys, balls that are thrown for her, and any bone she can lay next to you and gnaw on.
There really isn't anything that we are even still working on. Just getting slightly more comfortable in her post-foster home. Every morning she is ready to get up by sunrise but will cuddle me as long as I lay there. She enjoys long morning walks and does very well on a leash during them. Every morning we go to a big open park field where she runs around freely, retrieves thrown tennis balls, and just enjoys being a dog. She is home alone for a few hours most days and has free roam of the apartment, a privilege that she has not abused at all. :)
Someone's family will be very positively impacted by the addition of Rosie. Please don't hesitate to let me know if there is anything additionally I can do to help her find this home.
