From the Foster:
Hello, My name is Sara and I recently moved to Minnesota from Kentucky and I’m still trying to figure out why you humans live in such a cold place! Well, a little about me, I am housetrained, kennel-trained, I am great in a house with other dogs, kids and cats and I am always very calm. I am extremely timid and I am afraid of meeting new people. I usually hide from everyone unless my foster mom is around. She was the first one I opened up to when I moved here. I am a very sweet girl and I love to cuddle once I get to know you. I know a lot of humans are unsure about my shy demeanor, but I promise, if you give me time to get to know you I will eventually open up and show you how great I am. It has taken me longer to open up to my foster dad than my foster mom, and they don’t know why that is, but I am starting to feel more comfortable every day. I free roam when my foster parents are at work and they have never had to worry about an accident or me getting into things. I just lay around and wait for someone to come home. I come when called unless I am unsure about what is happening or the person calling me isn’t someone I’m comfortable with. I am working on that, though. I don’t know any tricks but I love treats and I really enjoy going on walks. Sometimes I try to catch squirrels on my walks but it all depends how I’m feeling. I don’t shed too much, but I am also a pretty shorthaired dog, and I am slightly overweight according to the vet, but we are working on that. I have already lost a few pounds! I currently live with other dogs now and at first I didn’t really play with them but eventually I was jumping and running and playing. Sudden movements and loud noises almost always scare me and I will hide from them except from my foster mom because I trust her. I like having a backyard to roam. I have a fenced in yard now! I have never shown any signs of aggression that my foster parents have seen. If you want to know any more about me, feel free to send an email, and I hope to meet you soon!
