From the Foster:

Doyle is a fun loving, sweet pooch. He likes to be where the action is and enjoys inserting himself in the fun. He enjoys playing a good game of catch and then snuggling up with you on the couch at the end of the day. If you ask him nicely, he will shake your hand or roll over for a tasty treat.

Doyle has a ton of energy, but does an amazing job at containing it when needed. He may act like Mr. tough Guy when strangers come to the door, but have no fear, it’s all for show. There is never a fear of him biting or acting assertive toward anyone. He is completely house trained and has never had an accident. He has never been kenneled because there has been never been a problem with letting him roam free... unless there is food left out, that might not be there when you return. However, this also means he is excellent at cleaning up those miscellaneous messes.

Past history noted him having a slightly sensitive stomach, so he is kept on Ideal Balance dog food, but with 3 young boys in the house he gets plenty of table scraps and has never had an issue. He does great with the young children, they sit and tug on him, but he is NEVER aggressive toward them, though he does get a little skittish with their rowdiness.

Doyle is a very vocal dog. He often grunts, growls or barks when his routine is broken or he is not getting his way. This is to notify you he is slightly annoyed (but it is never aggressive in nature). He also has a tough time calming down when he is in a different environment or someone new comes to the door. So he would not make a good pet to someone who needs a quiet friend or living in a place with shared walls.

Doyle is looking to make a good pet to a forever home! If you are interested, please fill out an application and come meet him!
