From the Foster:

Leona has been with my family for a few days now and she's an amazingly sweet girl, thrives on attention and really seems to want to please. She gets along very well with our resident dog and seems a little curious about the cats but not enough to go after them and shows no signs of aggression towards them.

She does great with my kids as well, my youngest being ten. She might be best with kids that age or older simply because she has a tendency to  jump up and she could knock over smaller kids  when she gets really excited or wants more attention. She's a relatively quiet dog but will bark a little if she thinks she needs to guard the house or protect the yard from a squirrel or something and speaking of the yard she is a bit of an escape artist so she will need a yard with a fence taller than four feet or she'll need to be on a tie out when she's outdoors. She loves going for walks chewing beef bones and chasing balls and sticks but so far isn't to keen on bringing them back.

She does very well with her crate when she needs to go in which is primarily overnight here as I work from home, she goes in easily and doesn't fuss, just curls up and goes to sleep. She is doing well with house training, she has had a couple accidents but being let out on a regular basis she seems to be figuring it out very quickly.

I really think Leona is going to blossom once she finds her forever home, she's so sweet now and I'm sure she's just going to get better with a warm, loving home.

All dogs are in individual foster homes throughout the Twin Cities.
