Bichon Frise (long coat) : : Female : : Adult : : Small Learn more about the Bichon Frise.
Name: Paloma
Paloma is incredibly sweet and very friendly. She's instantly affectionate, playful, and a great cuddler. She is happiest splitting her time between curling up next to you on the couch and romping around on the floor, playing with her toys or another dog. She plays enthusiastically with dogs of all sizes at the dog park, and happily approaches anyone who looks like they will pet her. She listens well. I would recommend keeping her on a leash unless she is in a fully fenced in area as she approaches the outdoors at full speed.
I would say she is 85% potty trained. If you do not catch her (subtle) signal, she won't hold it and you'll have a little mess to clean.
We did have two entire days out of four so far with no accidents so I feel that can be worked through and a normal schedule will really help. She is a quick learner and wants to please. Fortunately, she will not "go" in her crate so I always put her in when I leave. While she is not overly enthusiastic about going into her crate, she accepts it gracefully and seems comfortable there.
Randomly, she's afraid of even the sight of elevators. FULL STOP the second she laid eyes on one, even the first time. But she is OK if carried into one.
All dogs are in individual foster homes throughout the Twin Cities. More about Paloma D161603Good with Dogs, Good with Adults, Likes to be in your lap, Playful, Affectionate, Goofy Other Pictures of Paloma D161603 (click to see larger version):
