From the Foster:

Sissy is truly one of the most loving and happy dogs around.  She loves everyone she meets, is great with kids and would be fantastic for a family with children. She currently lives in a condo with her foster Mom and Dad and does great, even with shared walls. And how  could  I forget about her adorable  wrinkly  bulldog face!  She loves to play and gets so excited when we bring her toys out. She can jump like a kangaroo.   Sissy is very smart and understands that we can play and be  rambunctious  outside, but stays pretty calm when we are inside.

Sissy LOVES to be right next to us when we are home and that even  includes  crawling right up into our lap on the couch (which she also loves).  Sissy loves to snooze in the late evening with her head right next to you and has this adorable little snore every once in awhile.  She likes other dogs  and  gets excited when greeting them on walks. She  has had a couple play dates with other foster dogs and all have gone well.

Sissy  enjoys being outside including going for walks and playing fetch with a frisbee.  Sissy currently gets a walk in the morning and a walk or play time when we get home each day.  Right now she is home for about 5 hours and does great.  She has been home alone for 8 hours at a time and did just fine.  She just needs to wear off some energy after being home all day by herself.  We do not crate her when we leave as she does not get into anything and likes to look out the window. Sissy  is perfectly potty trained and has had no accidents since arriving.  We keep her on a  schedule, but when she does need to go out she  will "talk" to you by giving a little howl to let you know she wants to go out.   She  currently sleeps in the bed with us as she loves to be close all the time. We are trying to break that  habit, but it will take some time.

We are working on basic commands and she is a quick learner and very food motivated.  I think she would really thrive in obedience class to continue to help her learn more commands.  We are also working on her leash walking and in just a few days it has gotten much better. We use a front hook harness and she has learned that when she pulls we have to stop walking, which is no fun.  She does get very excited when she sees bunnies and squirrels- but don't we all!

Sissy is such a wonderful dog and anyone would be lucky to have her as a part of their family. To summarize Sissy, her favorite things in order are:
1. When we get home each day.  It is so fun to see how happy she is when we get home
2. Breakfast and dinner time
3. Frisbee/play time
4. Walks
5. Time on the couch, snuggling

All dogs are in individual foster homes throughout the Twin Cities.
