From the Foster:
Doovey has been such a joy to foster! She has adjusted quickly to our house and roommates, sometimes barking when she meets someone new but quickly understanding they pose no threat. Usually when people pet her she will plop on the floor, ready for a belly rub. She is completely house trained and goes in her crate with ease. She LOVES the outdoors and especially running with her human. Having a fenced in yard is a huge bonus for her! She gets distracted by animals outside and occasionally barks at other dogs/cats, but she hasn't been physical in the times she's gotten close. She would need very slow and monitored introductions to other dogs before determining if she will be able to be friends with them. She does great as the only pet though! She will only get better with time as she realizes that the abuse she faced in her past is no longer present. Doovey is a beautiful sweetheart who appreciates every bit of love she's given.
All dogs are in individual foster homes throughout the Twin Cities.

If you live in MN, WI, IA, SD, ND, or IL and would like to meet/adopt this animal or anyone else, then please fill out an adoption application at
http://secondhandhounds.org/adoption-information/
and the foster(s) will be in touch! Keep in mind that there may be multiple applicants applying for the same animal(s).
You only need to complete 1 application for multiple animals that you're interested in.
Note
- We change an animal's listing to say "PENDING ADOPTION" when they already had a meet and greet with a family who plans to adopt
that animal. We put "NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS" on a listing when an animal has multiple applications in and the foster has asked to stop accepting any more while they review the applications they've already received.
