From the Foster:

Norway is a gorgeous boy with captivating golden eyes. He proudly accepts many compliments on them. His personality is a mix of Gonzo and Romeo, silly and sweet. His goal in life is to make you proud of him, he is very smart, and he responds very well to training. He is a huge fan of food, which is another training perk! He drools sometimes – especially if he knows you have a treat.

Norway is a trickster, and could do great with further training - In addition to sit and stay, he has also learned paw, back it up, let’s go to the right/left, wait, and roll over.  He is very proud of himself, especially for paw, which he likes to show off.

He is definitely a Velcro dog, and he loves to follow me around the house. He has come a long way since being rescued – he was terrified of doing anything himself having not had his basic needs met when he was young. He has his quirks, and he makes mistakes, but he is a GOOD boy who needs someone to see through to his heart and love him for all of it.

He loves other dogs, and loves to play with them, but also to cuddle and give them kisses.  Norway probably isn't a dog park dog, and needs to meet dogs more one on one.

He has a tendency to jump up and be mouthy to get attention, and we are working very hard at breaking this habit. Older children are required because  Norway's jumping, wappy tail, and arousal/anxiety stuff. He also gets a bit upset when new people come to the front door, which we are also working on, and he is making great progress. He does great meeting new people out and about on walks, etc. He is pretty good on a leash, but does get excited for SQUIRRELS and other fun stuff outside. He isn’t destructive with furniture or anything, but he does have a closet shoe fetish…

Either a fenced yard and another playful dog, or an active person who wants to go on a lot of walks and adventures would be ideal for him. He is a morning dude, and loves nothing more than to share your bed and get REALLY CLOSE just so you know he’s thinking about you all night long. However, he WILL kennel at night if you don’t want him in bed.

He isn’t a perfect dog, but if you could only see how far he’s come, you’d see what I see…the most beautiful, grateful, loyal heart, and the silliest goof all in one. A gem. A diamond in the ruff.
