From the Foster:

Update 11/18:

It is almost Thanksgiving!  Heard foster mom say that.  She says I get to update you on my progress and let you know I am so thankful SHH picked me!!!

I have just finished with my first grooming session.  I am confident and well mannered. They were talking like I was not in the room! Really, I wiggled then suddenly there I was, they saw me. I did not get to go to the students with my foster siblings because no one was sure of how I would act.  I am learning and have some manners now.

Oh and my teacher says I need an agility mom or dad.  I don't know what that means.  All the teacher said was I can jump pretty high and love my treats and humans!  Oh and that I would be great at agility.  I guess you need a special mom or dad to do agility.

Well I have to go, EVERYONE have a great Thanksgiving.

Holly

Well, my foster mom has finally let me say a bit about myself.  I am a pretty girl.  I love my humans.  I just get so excited!!  Oh,  my name is Holly.  I get along with my foster siblings ( canine and feline)  Well …..foster mom yelled leave it a lot at first…..actually “Do not touch the kitties”. I just want to play but some of them do not.  Henry hangs with us canines (he is a feline) but he does not run and is boring. I bring no harm to the kitties and foster mom has not yelled at me in a long time.  There is this new kitty she is called Octavia everyone walks round her.  Sam is 16 years old and he acts like she does not exist when she ventures to this side of the gate.   She puts herself it the middle of the room and just starts grooming!  Really like she owns the place.  My foster sister Luna says she is a baby and is learning to be dog savy.  No one gets to chase her.  She is not a runner so it’s not a big deal to me. Don’t tell foster mom I bumped into her on purpose, she stopped grooming and gave me the look.  Went right back to grooming.
Ain’t she something!

I love outside and you would not believe what is in our yard and trees here.  Rabbits and Squirrel’s!!  I burst at the seems when I get to see one.   Foster mom says it is inappropriate to act that way.  Really, you should see her on a Friday.   Anyways I have landed myself in school.  Actually it is fun, don’t tell her.  I am learning to listen to humans better.  I get treats for not barking when others do and  touching her hand when prompted to and when I leave it and look at her.   Keep them treats coming!  I will only have eyes only for you!

I am supposed to be honest with you.  I have horrible food allergies.  The good news is I can eat Natural Balance LID -Duck and Potato formula.  LID means Limited Ingredient Diets, in case you did not know.  Lots of places carry it.  I don’t eat much so a big bag lasts forever!   Foster mom orders mine from Chewy.com, comes straight to our front door.   Just want you to know we have options and I don’t need special medicine or shots!

I pretty much have the potty thing down.  Then foster mom shows up late L  Scheduling is everything.  But I have never had an accident in my kennel.  It’s when she gets running behind and I get to run free with the others!!!  She forgets the kennel, Score! She has these things called pee pads for the littler dogs that can’t hold it.  I used them.  She was taking forever to come home. She says she could tell cause there is a big spot not just tiny ones.  She did not mind cause she thanked me for using them!  She just reminded me to tell you I have never had an accident in my kennel, see above.  Some humans are so hard to train (stick to the schedule) and do not read very well.  I already told you I keep my house clean!

I am smart and actually going to school (see reference above)  I am great in the kennel and 98%  of the time ( not my fault) while free ( I love freedom).  I love the outdoors.  If you do lots of stuff outdoors that would be great!  I guess that about sums me up. Oh and I do need LID food.  Foster mom says there are other brands, she just chose Natural Balance and it works.  I don’t itch or look like a beet.  She said that means I am not red. I have to wrap it up.   Finish …..geezzzsss  Foster mom!!!!!    I hope to meet you soon and click below to fill out an application!
