Hound / Mixed (short coat) : : Male : : Adult : : Medium
Name: Roscoe He's great with kids and other animals (dogs and cats alike)
House trained
Does NOT like going in his crate but will go in when we are gone during the day and seems to do fine.
BARKS- he spooks very easily and will bark and its loud :) BUT he is getting better the more comfortable he gets
Would be best fit with someone with a fenced in yard because he likes to BOLT out the door, he doesn't have the patients to wait for us to put him on his leash.
As I said he spooks easily so if you get him just right he will pee a little on the floor, or couch, or bed where ever he is :)
The more he gets comfortable with us the more he has become a lover BUT he loves his independence, he doesn't snuggle on the couch he will lay as far away from you as possible but will stare at you :)
LOVES to chew- lots of chew toys and bones are a must for this guy unless you like your $300 remote and $100 Nike's chewed on.....yes that happened to us :)
Hardwood floors will be the death of him- he likes little islands to hop to and yes he will go from item to item just to skip the hardwood. He will sit for treats but not on the hardwood he will run to the rug to sit.
He won't go up stairs but he will run down them like its a ride and will want to do it again....thankfully he's not that heavy and he can be carried back up.
He will not eat out of his own dish- he has to eat out of the dishes of every other animal until they try to eat his food then he wants that too.
He gets separation anxiety when our dog is outside doing something and he is left in the house, he howls -LOUDLY until we let him go out too.
He's a great dog and anyone would be lucky to have him it will take him a while I think to come around to being comfortable but like I said in the couple of weeks we have had him he has come a long way.
All dogs are in individual foster homes throughout the Twin Cities.
