From the Foster: Greta she is a great little dog. She spends most of her day sleeping either on a dog bed or will snuggle up on the couch if you allow it. She loves to be close to her people. She is not a chewer and we have had no issues - is not too interested in toys. She walks pretty well on the leash most of the time, with the occasional distraction (she's interested in squirrels).

She gets along fine with most other dogs but she requires slow intros.  She has lived with the full spectrum of sizes and she's fine with them - she is currently living with a dog close to her size. She is not crated at her current foster home.  Previously she was ok in her crate but does bark if she knows you are home and she is in it. Having her in a larger crate actually helps her be quiet.

Greta is older and does have a few medical issues that can be managed easily. During her vet visit, blood work found that she is in a pre-renal failure state with her kidneys. The vet started her on some prescription food and that has helped to quash her excess thirst.  The vet does recommend keeping her on the prescription food long term, but that will be her forever family's choice. It was also discovered that she has a heart murmur (but it is not something we can operate on). This mostly affects her by tiring her out quicker. She does best with shorter walks and short bouts of playing. Don't let the few medical things scare you away! She is a perfect little dog otherwise and would love to have a forever family to call her own.

All dogs are in individual foster homes throughout the Twin Cities.
