From the Foster:

What can I say about this sweet boy!!  He is just the absolute sweetest, most snuggly little love-bug ever.  When  Lito  first came to us he really didn't know how to "dog."  He wanted affection but wasn't sure how to ask for it, was uncomfortable being held, had never realized the coziness of a good couch snuggle, didn't know how much fun a good game of tug could be with your foster brother, how much fun it is to learn to sit and get treats and so many other things.   Lito  has really blossomed in his time with us into a dog that I believe would be a great addition for just about anyone.  He definitely bonds strongly with his main person (I have developed a 12 lb. white shadow!) but is an equal opportunity lover of scratches and pets.

He gets along great with all the other dogs in our house, including the small Yorkie we had as a foster, as well as our larger senior female and young puppy.  He loves to play but sounds a bit like a grumpy grandpa while engaging in play.  He has a cute raspy little play growl.  He is pretty stellar at being quiet and chill too.  He did go through heartworm treatment while in our care and had to be kept quiet and he happily obliged to snuggling on the couch.  He is now feeling much better and has a little pep in his step again but is really relaxed most of the time.

His housetraining is solid as long as his people are diligent with him and don't give him too much freedom in the house.  He only has accidents if he's left to his own devices for too long.  He is awesome in his crate and is even a little hesitant to come out in the morning sometimes while he's still waking up.  He will occasionally protest for a minute or two if he feels like he's missing out on something fun when I leave during the day but settles down quickly.

He has been sweet and gentle with my two nephews who are 3 1/2 and 8 months old.  He hasn't met any older kids but I assume that as long as the kids are dog savvy and respectful he would do just fine.  He hasn't met any cats but I don't think he would pay them much attention.

We are going to be sad to see this boy go, he really is just the sweetest thing.

"I was recently treated for  heartworms , and I am feeling much better now! Please let SHH know if you have any questions!"
