From the Foster:

In the short time we've had Willie, we've learned a few things so far. He is fully house trained - no accidents! He is very much attached to his people - he will follow you around wherever you go and thinks he is a lap dog. He seems like he is very trainable, but that he has not had much training other than "sit".  He will need a very active owner who is not only willing to give him an energy outlet (a playful dog friend, a few days at a doggy daycare, a runner, etc.) but someone that understands he is a work in progress.  He is excitable and mouthy like a puppy, but he's not a puppy anymore!  He will think your arm is a chew toy if a bone isn't available.  His intention is not to be mean, and he is very smart and trainable, you just need to be prepared to work with him.  He is very sweet and just wants to hang out with his people and once he gets his manners down he will be a great companion!

All dogs are in individual foster homes throughout the Twin Cities.

If you live in MN, WI, IA, SD, ND, or IL and would like to meet/adopt this animal or anyone else, then please fill out an adoption application at   http://secondhandhounds.org/adoption-information/  and the foster(s) will be in touch!  Keep in mind that there may be multiple applicants applying for the same animal(s).   You only need to complete 1 application for multiple animals that you're interested in.

Note  - We change an animal's listing to say "PENDING ADOPTION" when they already had a meet and greet with a family who plans to adopt   that animal.  We put "NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS" on a listing when an animal has multiple applications in and the foster has asked to stop accepting any more while they review the applications they've already received.

Thanks for your interest in Secondhand Hounds!!

We have only had Willie for a couple of days, but here are a few things that we have learned about him so far. He is fully house trained - no accidents! He is very much attached to his people - he will follow you around wherever you go and thinks he is a lap dog. He seems like he is very trainable, but that he has not had much training other than "sit". A perfect family for him would be someone that is willing to give him plenty of exercise and someone that is willing to give him some training to help him learn good doggie manners! He is very sweet and just wants to hang out with his people and chew on a good bone.
